The slate is clean. Our to-do lists and resolutions and constitutions might start to wane a little as the beginning of the year falls short of our plans and expectations and vision of what is to come.
The word "our" is a part of that disappointment if 2016 isn't all "we" want or hope for, or strive to happen. Unless reliance and plans begin with trusting the Lord instead of our own resources, we set ourselves up to fail, to knock ourselves back down because of personal things we have done, or not done at this point. Starting with prayer with the Lord's direction fuels our hearts and minds where He has planned for us, and accepting His guidance prepares us for the ups and downs we encounter daily. There will be trials, there will be triumphs, and the Lord will be with us through all of them.
"Yet I am always with you; you hold me by my right hand. You guide me with your counsel, and afterward you will take me into glory. Whom have I have in heaven but you? And earth has nothing I desire but you. My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever." -- Psalm 73:23-26
Wandering through Life, Hope for Neighbors Christian gift book illustrates the hope and the promise each and every day when we allow Jesus to be first in our lives, preparing a clean slate daily, washing our sins clean. May this year be a blessing and full of promise and light amidst the dark and troubled times that come upon our lives. Be assured of His forgiveness, His grace, and His everlasting love.
Wishing you peace and promise and assured faith in Christ alone.
It is comforting to know we are never alone, Wandering through Life, able to experience true hope, but we were also given two commandments, by Jesus, to fulfill in life: to love God with all our heart and soul; to love our neighbors as ourselves!

Often in this haphazard world, we long and strive for immediacy and perfection and instant gratification. And the solution is often looked for from within ourselves or friends, or people we feel we can trust and take comfort from in whatever situation befalls us that we feel helpless or unsure.
The only 'necessity' we really need and require is the belief and hope that God can see us through those times…reliance and focus on His word and promise. He is the steady landing in our precarious lives.
EXPECT troubles will come in your days, but also KNOW that He is beside us during each and every moment. We are never alone. I encourage you to read Wandering through Life - Hope for Neighbors Christian Gift Book
and find solace in finding God's extraordinary ways woven into our own everyday lives….full of brokenness, yet gaining strength from God and God alone. He finds us where we are at - in the highs, in the lows, and reaches for us.
"He reached down from on high and took hold of me; he drew me out of deep waters.
He rescued me from my powerful enemy, from my foes, who were too strong for me.
They confronted me in the day of my disaster, but the Lord was my support.
He brought me out into a spacious place; he rescued me because he delighted in me."
Psalm 18:16-19
He DELIGHTED in me. How incredible to have delight from Him for us. Rest assured in His saving grace and what He has chosen for us….a sanctuary in His loving arms.

As the days slip into another cooler pattern with warmer colors of God's beauty, we are reminded of what He provides for and secures for us in our daily needs. Believing in His assurance begins and ends with God's provisions.
"Nevertheless, he left not himself without witness, in that he did good, and gave us rain from heaven and fruitful seasons, filling our hearts with food and gladness." --Acts 14:17
Wandering through Life- A Hope for Neighbors Christian Gift Book is a reminder of His constant presence in our lives. It's stories about our interactions and reactions with neighbors, friends, co-workers, family members. It's about noticing and seeing the world in God's light... looking where He wants us to look, beyond the clutter of the busyness and oftentimes emptiness where we look to fill voids, and seeking and reading scripture to gain fullness in Him..in our own daily journey.
Wandering through Life- A Hope for Neighbors Christian Gift Book also will have an 80-page study guide to accompany it that will be available soon!
